Crazing Resistance

The term crazing refers to hairline cracks on the surface of the glazed tile; the pattern formed by these fine fissures may be either circular or irregular. An autoclave is used to determine crazing resistance.

Chemical resistance is the behaviour of a ceramic surface when it comes into contact with aggressive chemicals that may react with the surface itself, corroding it or altering its aesthetic appeal. Stain resistance relates to the ease by which stains may be removed from the tile surface.
